2. What Auripath Is
Auripath is software that helps you turn written content into audio and publish it with an embeddable player,
optional email gate, cover artwork, and basic analytics (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
3. Using the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You must keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must follow any usage limits, plan limits, and technical restrictions shown in the app or at checkout.
-
We may update, improve, or change features to maintain or enhance the Service.
If we make a material change to these Terms, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date.
4. Your Content
You can upload or paste text and related materials (including PDFs and any images you provide) (“Content”).
You must own the Content or have all permissions needed to use it with the Service and to publish any resulting output.
You must not submit anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that violates anyone’s privacy, publicity,
data protection, or other rights.
You are solely responsible for your Content.
This includes ensuring it is accurate where that matters to you, and ensuring you have the rights and permissions
needed to use, store, and publish any outputs created using the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
- You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Service.
-
You must not use the Service to create, upload, store, share, or publish any content that is illegal,
or that facilitates illegal activity. -
You must not use the Service to create or share content that is exploitative, abusive, hateful, harassing,
or threatening, or that promotes violence or illegal acts. -
You must not create, upload, store, share, or distribute child sexual abuse material or any content that
sexualises minors. This will result in immediate termination and may be reported to relevant authorities. -
You must not use the Service to generate instructions for wrongdoing, including hacking, fraud, phishing,
scams, social engineering, or evading law enforcement. -
No voice impersonation or likeness misuse:
You must not use the Service to impersonate any person or to use another person’s name, image, likeness,
or voice without clear, explicit consent and a lawful basis. - You must not upload or distribute malware, spyware, or other harmful code, or use the Service to send spam.
- You must not bypass, disable, or interfere with security controls, rate limits, usage limits, or access restrictions.
- You must not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any Auripath systems.
-
Do not upload highly sensitive personal data (for example health data, biometric identifiers, or data about children)
unless you have a lawful basis to do so and you accept full responsibility for that decision. -
No credential sharing or resale:
You must not share, sell, resell, sublicense, or otherwise provide your account or login credentials to any third party. -
No automated use without permission:
You must not use automated means (including scripts, bots, scrapers, or similar tools) to access the Service or generate
Outputs, except where we explicitly permit this in writing. -
No hotlinking or rehosting:
You must not hotlink, mirror, rehost, or redistribute audio files or other Outputs generated by the Service in a way that
bypasses the embeddable player or our access controls. -
No use as a content delivery service:
You must not use the Service primarily as a file hosting, content delivery, or bandwidth resale service.
6. License You Grant To Us
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, and transmit your Content
only as needed to operate the Service, provide support, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and meet legal requirements.
You keep ownership of your Content.
7. Plans, Billing, Credits, and Taxes
Prices, limits, and features are shown in the app or at checkout.
If you choose a paid plan, you authorize Paddle (our Merchant of Record) to charge the payment method you provide.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
Any taxes required by law may be charged at checkout.
Payments via Paddle:
Purchases are completed through Paddle at checkout.
Your payment may appear as “Paddle” or “PADDLE.NET” on your statement and receipts.
Refunds and chargebacks are processed by Paddle in accordance with our
Refund Policy and the terms shown at checkout.
Credits:
Some plans include usage credits (for example, for audio generation or cover generation).
Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
Unless explicitly stated in the app or at checkout, unused credits do not roll over to future billing periods.
We may change credit costs or credit allocations to reflect changes in underlying providers or product improvements.
We may withhold, reverse, or void credits and/or disable access to Outputs where we reasonably believe there has been fraud,
abuse, a breach of these Terms, non-payment, or a chargeback, or where required to protect the Service or other users.
8. Trials, Cancellations, and Downgrades
- If a trial is offered, it will convert to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends.
-
You can cancel at any time in the app. Cancellation stops future renewals.
You typically keep access until the end of the current paid term, unless otherwise stated at checkout. -
Downgrading may reduce or remove features and limits.
It is your responsibility to export any data you need before downgrading or closing your account.
9. Subscription Lapse, Embeds, and Data Retention
If your paid plan ends or a renewal payment fails, we may restrict access to paid features.
Depending on your plan status, we may suspend or limit functionality such as audio generation, cover generation,
analytics collection, and lead capture.
-
Embeds and players:
Embeds may continue to render, but playback and lead capture may be paused or limited until you reactivate. -
Traffic management and fair use:
We may rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily disable playback, embeds, or delivery of audio where necessary to prevent
abuse, protect performance, or manage unusually high traffic or costs. For sustained high-volume usage, we may require
you to upgrade to a higher plan or agree a custom plan. -
Read-only access:
We may allow you to log in and view your documents and settings in a read-only state. -
Retention:
We may retain your Content, generated audio, covers, leads, and analytics for a reasonable period to operate the Service
and manage costs. If you close your account, we retain data only as needed for legal, accounting, dispute prevention,
and security purposes, and then delete or anonymise it where appropriate (subject to backup rotation).
Deletion is not always immediate.
Some data may persist for a limited time in backups, logs, or caches.
For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Generated Output and Publishing
The Service may generate audio and other outputs from your Content (the “Outputs”).
You are responsible for reviewing Outputs and for how you use, publish, or distribute them.
We do not guarantee that Outputs are accurate, complete, lawful, non-infringing, or fit for any particular purpose.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed for your Content and for any public use of Outputs.
11. Lead Capture
If you enable lead capture, you are responsible for ensuring you have a valid legal basis to collect and use personal data
from listeners and for providing any required notices (including privacy information and consent wording where applicable).
We process lead data to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Third Party Services
The Service relies on third party providers (for example, hosting, storage, analytics, AI, and text-to-speech services).
By using the Service you acknowledge that your Content and related data may be processed by these providers to operate the Service,
as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual Property
We own the Service and all related software, designs, and trademarks.
These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in our intellectual property.
You may not copy, modify, decompile, or reverse engineer any part of the Service except where the law allows despite this limitation.
14. Warranties and Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any Outputs will meet your requirements.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot
be limited under applicable law.
Subject to the paragraph above, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special,
consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, contracts, anticipated savings, or goodwill.
Subject to the paragraphs above, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees
you paid for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, costs, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees)
arising from: (a) your Content; (b) your Outputs or how you publish or distribute them; (c) your use of the Service; or (d) your breach
of these Terms or applicable law.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or misuse the Service.
We may also remove or disable access to Content, Outputs, or embeds if we receive a credible complaint (for example, infringement or
rights violations) or if we believe content violates these Terms.
We may remove or disable access to Content, Outputs, or embeds, and suspend or terminate accounts immediately, if we suspect or detect
prohibited or illegal use.
We may preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement where required or appropriate.
Reporting and copyright complaints:
If you believe content or an embed generated using the Service is illegal, infringes your rights, or violates these Terms,
please report it to [email protected].
Please include enough information for us to investigate (for example, the relevant URL, document name, and a description of the issue).
You can close your account at any time from within the app or by contacting support.
18. Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
Please review it before purchasing.
19. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights where you live.
21. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
These Terms, together with the policies linked above, form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
